Electric cars are now super popular in Denmark!
From January to June 2025, Denmark got 89,547 new cars. This is 4% more than last year.
Out of these, 57,171 cars were electric. This is 47% more than last year!
⚡ More People Choose Electric
- All new cars: 64% were electric.
- Private buyers: About 82% chose electric cars.
- In June alone, almost 86% of private cars were electric.
💬 What the Expert Says
Mads Rørvig, the boss of Mobility Denmark, said:
“People loved electric cars last year, and now they love them even more! Electric cars do not make pollution. We should keep helping this change.”
He also said the government should make car taxes easier so more people can buy electric cars.
