Mahindra Vision SXT Unveiled – Thar DNA in a Bold New Pickup Truck

Mahindra Vision SXT – Thar-Based Pickup Truck Shown in India

Shown at Freedom NU Event

Mahindra has shown the Vision SXT concept at the Freedom NU event in Mumbai. This is one of four new concept vehicles shown at the event. The Vision SXT is a pickup truck and is based on the Vision T concept, which is the electric version of the Thar. This shows Mahindra’s plan to make the Thar family bigger with new body styles.

Tough and Bold Design

The Vision SXT looks strong and ready for adventure.
It has:

  • A thick black grille with vertical lines
  • Vertical LED headlights
  • A bold bonnet with strong lines
  • A big bumper with air vents and skid plates
  • Large wheel arches and sharp body lines
  • Side steps and a two-tone orange-and-black paint
  • Tall pillars with roof rails

It has all-weather tyres and, behind the C-pillars, a pickup load area that can carry items. In this concept, the load area has two spare wheels.

Rear Design

At the back, the Vision SXT has:

  • Vertical LED tail lights
  • A big bumper with a skid plate
  • Vision SXT name on the sides and rear

The design makes it look like a real off-road and work-ready vehicle.

Built on NU IQ Platform

The Vision SXT is made on Mahindra’s NU IQ platform, which will be used for many future SUVs. This platform can be used for vehicles between 3,990 mm and 4,320 mm long.
It offers:

  • Big inside space (937 mm legroom in the second row, 1,404 mm shoulder room)
  • High ground clearance (up to 227 mm)
  • Space for petrol, diesel, or electric engines

When Will It Come?

The NU IQ platform will start production in 2027. The Vision T electric Thar is expected to launch first. The Vision SXT pickup truck could arrive after that.

If it goes into production, the SXT could be a practical and stylish lifestyle pickup for people who want a vehicle for both daily use and outdoor trips.
