New Ather Electric Scooter Variant Launched
Ather Energy has launched a new version of its electric scooter, the Ather 450S, with a bigger 3.7 kWh battery. It is priced at ₹1,45,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This new model gives more range than the older 2.9 kWh version and is more affordable than the premium 450X. Bookings are now open, and deliveries will start next month.
Longer Range with Same Powerful Motor
The new Ather 450S 3.7 kWh can now go up to 161 km on a full charge (IDC-tested). This is much more than the 115 km range offered by the 2.9 kWh model.
Even with the bigger battery, the motor stays the same:

- 22 Nm torque
- Top speed: 90 km/h
- 0 to 40 km/h in 3.9 seconds
So, the scooter still feels quick and fun to ride.

Charging Time and Battery Warranty
The scooter takes about 4.5 hours to charge up to 80% using the home charger. You can also use Ather’s fast-charging network, now available in over 3,300 places in India.
The battery comes with an 8-year warranty or up to 80,000 km, and Ather promises the battery will stay at least 70% healthy in that time.
