Ertiga, Fronx and Baleno Show Strong Growth
- The Maruti Ertiga continues to be a top choice for big families and cab operators. It grew by 6%, with 16,604 units sold.
- The Maruti Fronx, a newer crossover model, is rising fast with an 18% jump, selling 12,872 units.
- The Maruti Baleno had a very strong month too, with a 34% rise in sales. It sold 12,503 units, making it one of the fastest-growing hatchbacks.
Wagon R and Swift Sales Drop
Two small Maruti hatchbacks, the Wagon R and Swift, saw sales go down:
- Wagon R fell by 9% with 14,710 units.
- Swift dropped even more, by 16%, selling 14,190 units.
These drops may be due to more choices now in the small car market and people looking for more premium features.
Mahindra Scorpio Impresses Again
The Mahindra Scorpio showed a solid 12% increase, selling 13,747 units. Known for its rugged build and strong performance, the Scorpio remains a favourite in both cities and rural areas.
Mahindra may also bring new updates to the Scorpio lineup soon, which could push sales even higher.
Tata Nexon Faces Competition
The Tata Nexon, popular for its safety and design, saw sales fall by 8%, with 12,825 units sold. It still made the top 10 list but is facing strong competition from newer models in the compact SUV space.
Looking Ahead: Festive Season Will Be Key
With Diwali and the festive season coming soon, car companies are getting ready to launch new models and offer big discounts. This means the sales rankings may change again in the next few months as more people plan to buy new cars.
Final Thoughts
