Big EV Plan by Mahindra
Mahindra has shared big news! The company will launch 6 new electric cars (EVs) in the coming years. These new EVs will be built on a completely new platform designed just for electric vehicles. This was confirmed by Anish Shah, the CEO and MD of Mahindra Group.
Mahindra is Doing Well in SUV Sales
Mahindra is already doing very well in the SUV segment in India.
- It now has a 27.3% market share in the SUV market.
- This is a 5.7% increase compared to last year.
- In the first 3 months of the financial year (April–June 2025), SUV sales went up by 22%.
Mahindra also leads the light commercial vehicle (LCV) market (below 3.5 tonnes) with a strong 54.2% market share.
Tractors Are Still Important
Mahindra is also doing great in the tractor business.
- It has a 45.2% share in the tractor market.
- The company now wants to focus on better service and delivery rather than just trying to sell more than others.
Good Profits This Year
In the first quarter of FY2026 (April–June 2025), Mahindra made a profit of ₹4,083 crore.
- This is a 24% increase from the same time last year.
- Both the auto and farm business grew by 20%.
- Mahindra Finance also grew by 15% during this time.
No Plans to Split the Company
Mahindra has no plans to separate its car and tractor businesses.
The CEO said the company will stay as one strong group.
He also talked about good trade relations with the US, which is good news for the future.

Mahindra will hold a big event on Independence Day (August 15, 2025) in Mumbai.
