New Suzuki Jimny Facelift With Exciting Features Coming Soon

Updated Suzuki Jimny To Receive New Features, Launch Soon

New Suzuki Jimny Getting More Safety Features, Launch Soon

The Suzuki Jimny first came out in 2018. Since then, it has not changed much. Even after 7 years, many people still love this small and strong SUV.

Now, Suzuki is planning to add some new safety features to the Jimny. A big new design update (facelift) is not coming yet, but these small updates will make the car safer.

New Safety Features Coming

A report from Japan says that Suzuki will give these new safety features to the Jimny and Jimny Sierra (3-door version) in August 2025.

The Jimny will get a safety package called Suzuki Safety Support, which has modern safety systems to help the driver.

One important new feature is called Dual Camera Brake Support (DCBS). This system uses two cameras in front of the car to see people, vehicles, and road lines.

How DCBS Works

  • First, it gives a warning on the dashboard if something is in front.
  • If the danger gets higher, it starts braking a little by itself.
  • If the driver presses the brake, the system adds more force to stop the car faster.
  • If there is a big danger, the system can brake fully by itself to avoid or reduce an accident.

This system works in both city and highway driving.

Extra Features for Automatic Versions

For Jimny models with a 4-speed automatic gearbox, there are two more new safety features:

  • False Start Prevention: Stops the car from moving forward quickly if there is an obstacle and the driver presses the accelerator by mistake.
  • Rear False Start Prevention: Works the same way when the car is moving backward (reversing).

No Change in Looks or Engine

There is no change in the outside design or engine.

  • In Japan, the small Jimny has a 0.66-litre petrol engine that makes 63 hp power. It has 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic options. It also has 4-wheel drive (4WD).
  • The Jimny Sierra has a 1.5-litre petrol engine (same as in India) that makes 101 hp power and 130 Nm torque. It also has 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic, and 4WD is standard.

Launch Time

The new safety features will launch in Japan in August 2025. We don’t know yet when these updates will come to India or other countries, but they may come later.

Conclusion

The new safety features will make the Jimny safer and better to drive. The design and engine stay the same, but drivers will feel more confident with these updates.
