Skoda and Volkswagen June 2025 Sales Report: Kylaq Helps Skoda Grow, VW Sales Drop a Little
In June 2025, Skoda and Volkswagen had different results in India. Skoda did very well, but Volkswagen’s sales went down a little.
Skoda Sales Go Up
Skoda sold 5,014 cars in June 2025. This is almost double compared to June last year when they sold 2,566 cars.
The main reason is the new Kylaq SUV, which sold 3,196 units. It became Skoda’s most popular car quickly.
The Slavia sedan sold 896 cars, which is 27% less than last year (1,230 cars).
The Kushaq SUV sold 792 cars, which is 34% less than last year (1,198 cars).
The Kodiaq SUV sold 130 cars, a small drop from last year (137 cars).
The Octavia sedan did not sell any cars this June.

The new Kylaq SUV gave a big boost to Skoda’s sales. It helped them grow strongly last month.
Volkswagen Sales Go Down a Little
Volkswagen sold 3,089 cars in June 2025. This is 5% less than last year when they sold 3,260 cars.
The Virtus sedan sold 1,778 cars, which is 7% more than last year (1,656 cars).
The Taigun SUV sold 1,168 cars, which is 23% less than last year (1,519 cars).
The new Golf (GTI) hatchback sold 138 cars in its first month.
The big Tiguan SUV sold only 5 cars, much less than last year (85 cars).

The Virtus did well and sold more than before. The Taigun went down, and the Tiguan sold very few cars. The new Golf started okay.
Summary
In June 2025, Skoda did very well because of the new Kylaq. Volkswagen had a small drop in sales but had good numbers for the Virtus and a new start with the Golf.
Both companies are planning to bring new models soon. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the coming months.
