Toyota July 2025 Sales Report – Innova, Hyryder, Glanza, Rumion & Vellfire Performance

Sales Almost Same as Last Year

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sold 29,159 cars in July 2025. This is just 1% less than July 2024, when it sold 29,533 cars. Most of Toyota’s sales in India still come from rebadged Maruti Suzuki cars like the Glanza, Hyryder, Taisor and Rumion, while the Innova and Fortuner remain strong sellers.

Innova on Top, But Small Drop

The Toyota Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross together sold 9,119 units in July 2025. This is 8% less than the 9,912 units sold in July 2024. Even with this drop, Innova is still Toyota’s most popular car in India.

Hyryder Grows, Glanza Steady

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder sold 8,814 units, which is 19% more than last year’s 7,419 units. It was Toyota’s second-best-selling car.

The Toyota Glanza, a Maruti Baleno twin, sold 5,019 units, which is 4% more than last year’s 4,836 units.

Fortuner Up, Taisor Down

The Toyota Fortuner (and Legender) sold 3,233 units, up 36% from last year’s 2,380 units. It has very little competition in its segment.

The Urban Cruiser Taisor, Toyota’s version of the Maruti Fronx, sold 1,687 units, down 36% from 2,640 units last year.

Rumion Falls, Hilux Jumps

The Toyota Rumion (Maruti Ertiga twin) had the biggest drop, selling only 576 units, which is 70% less than last year’s 1,929 units.

The Toyota Hilux pickup sold 370 units, up 108% from last year’s 178 units.

Vellfire and Camry Rise, Land Cruiser at Zero

The Toyota Vellfire luxury MPV sold 180 units, up 59% from 113 units last year.
The Toyota Camry sedan sold 161 units, up 28% from 126 units last year.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 had no sales in July 2025, same as last year.

Mahindra has introduced a new platform called NU IQ at the Freedom NU event in Mumbai. This platform will be used to make many new SUVs in the coming years. Mahindra also showed four new concept cars – Vision X, Vision S, Vision T, and Vision SXT – all built on this new platform.

The first SUVs made on NU IQ will come around 2027.

The platform uses a five-link rear suspension with Mahindra’s DAVINCI damper system for a smooth and controlled ride. It is made for both left-hand and right-hand drive markets, so it can be sold in India and other countries.

For safety, it has a strong door frame for side impact protection. It meets Euro NCAP, ANCAP, and Global NCAP crash test standards, and Mahindra expects it to get five-star safety ratings.

Kawasaki has launched the 2026 KLX 230 in India with a big price drop. The bike earlier cost ₹3.30 lakh (ex-showroom), but now it is priced at ₹1.99 lakh. This means you save ₹1.31 lakh.

💰 Why the Price is Lower

The main reason for the lower price is that the KLX 230 is now made in India instead of being imported. Making it locally reduces costs, and Kawasaki has passed the savings to customers.

🎨 Design and Style

The bike has a simple and strong off-road look with:

  • High front fender
  • Flat, long seat for easy movement
  • Short tail section for off-road use
  • Two colour options in the road-legal version

It has a seat height of 880 mm and weighs 139 kg.

🏕 KLX 230R S – Off-Road Only Version

Kawasaki has also launched the KLX 230R S for trail riding. This bike is not road legal.

Main details:

  • Same 233 cc engine (slightly different performance)
  • Ground clearance: 270 mm
  • Seat height: 900 mm
  • Suspension:
    • Front: 37 mm telescopic fork (220 mm travel)

    • 360-degree parking camera

🔹 Engines

The Taigun facelift will keep the same petrol engines as before:

  • 1.0-litre TSI
  • 1.0-litre TSI EVO
These are the same engines shared with the Skoda Kushaq.

When Will They Launch?

Both SUVs are expected to launch around the same time – either at the end of 2025 or in early 2026. The facelifts will help them compete with newer rivals in the midsize SUV segment like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder.

Summary

The Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun facelifts will bring:

  • Updated styling inside and out
  • Premium features like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS, and 360-degree camera
  • The same reliable TSI petrol engines

These updates will give both SUVs a fresh look and modern features while keeping their sporty performance.
