Haryana To Reinstate Subsidy For EVs Priced Under Rs. 40 LakhCategoriesCar News

Haryana Brings Back EV Subsidy for Vehicles Under Rs 40 Lakh

The Haryana government is planning to start EV subsidies again for electric vehicles that cost less than ₹40 lakh. This will help more people buy EVs, especially in cities and small towns.

Old Subsidy Policy

Earlier, under the Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy 2022, people could get a 15% discount (up to ₹6 lakh) on EVs priced between ₹15 lakh and ₹40 lakh. But this ended in March 2024.

After that, only expensive EVs (above ₹40 lakh) got the subsidy. So, middle-class buyers were left out.

New Plan to Help More People

Now, the government wants to bring the subsidy back for mid-range EVs. Haryana’s Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that the policy should help common people, not just those who can buy luxury cars.

“A good policy must help the average person, not just the rich,” the minister said.

More Focus on Scooters and Auto-Rickshaws

The government is also thinking about giving more support to electric scooters and three-wheelers, because these are used every day by many people. This will make electric travel cheaper and easier for everyone.

No Date Yet, But Coming Soon

There is no exact date for when the subsidy will return, but the government is already working on it, and it could happen soon.

EV Sales Are Rising in India

  • In April–June 2025, over 5.3 lakh EVs were sold in India
  • That’s 34% more than the same time last year
  • 8 out of every 100 vehicles sold are now electric
  • A total of 65.5 lakh vehicles were sold in India during this period

This shows that more people want to buy EVs, and support from the government can help even more.

In Short

Haryana is planning to bring back the EV subsidy for cars under ₹40 lakh. The new policy will also focus on affordable electric scooters and rickshaws. This will help more people use electric vehicles and support clean and green transport.

Electric vehicles can save money and help the environment — and Haryana wants to make them easier to buy.

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ (Mini Fortuner) To Arrive Next Year – New DetailsCategoriesCar News

Toyota’s Mini Fortuner Is Coming: Land Cruiser FJ Launching in 2026

Toyota is getting ready to launch a brand-new SUV called the Land Cruiser FJ. This new model will be smaller and cheaper than the Fortuner, and it’s expected to start production around mid-2026. People are calling it the “Mini Fortuner”, and it will be part of Toyota’s strong off-road SUV family.

Old-School Looks with a Modern Touch

The Land Cruiser FJ has a boxy and tough design, inspired by older Land Cruiser models. Recent design leaks show that the FJ will have:

  • Square-shaped headlights
  • C-shaped LED daytime lights
  • Flat roof
  • Big wheel arches
  • Thick body panels for a strong look

It will look similar to the earlier concept Toyota showed, staying true to its classic off-road style.

Strong Platform for Rough Roads

This SUV will be built on the IMV 0 platform, the same one used for the Toyota Hilux Champ. This means the FJ will have a strong body-on-frame build, perfect for off-road driving.

Engine Options – Diesel, Petrol & Hybrid

Toyota will offer the Land Cruiser FJ with different engines depending on the country. Here are the expected engine choices:

  • 1.5-litre diesel for basic models
  • 2.8-litre diesel with mild-hybrid tech (uses a small electric motor to save fuel)
  • 2.0-litre and 2.7-litre petrol engines are also being tested
  • No electric version yet, but Toyota might offer one later

This wide range of engines means the FJ could fit many different buyers, from fuel-savers to off-road lovers.

Built for Adventure

The FJ may be small, but it won’t hold back in tough conditions. It’s likely to come with:

  • Full-time 4-wheel drive
  • Torsen limited-slip differential (helps keep grip on slippery roads)
  • Terrain response modes for different types of roads (sand, mud, rocks, etc.)

These features will make the FJ a true off-road vehicle, just like other Land Cruiser models.

Will It Come to India?

Toyota hasn’t confirmed if the FJ will launch in India, but there’s a good chance it will. SUVs like the Fortuner and Hilux are doing well in India, and the smaller, more affordable FJ could be a big hit.

Expected Price & Rivals

Since it will be placed below the Fortuner, the Land Cruiser FJ is expected to be cheaper. It could compete with other SUVs like the Mahindra Scorpio-N, Isuzu MU-X, and Ford Everest in some countries.

In Short

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is a smaller, stylish, and capable SUV made for off-road fun. With a mix of modern features and classic looks, it’s perfect for people who want a tough SUV that’s not too big or too expensive.

Watch out for its launch in 2026 – this Mini Fortuner could be Toyota’s next big success!

Nissan Magnite Improves From 2 To 5 Stars In Global NCAP Crash TestsCategoriesCar News

Nissan Magnite Scores Big: Jumps from 2 to 5 Stars in Global NCAP Crash Tests

The Nissan Magnite, made in India, has now received a 5-star safety rating for adult protection in the Global NCAP crash test. This is a big improvement from its earlier score of just 2 stars.

🚗 What Changed?

Nissan made some important safety updates to the Magnite:

  • Now it comes with 6 airbags
  • It has Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
  • Stronger protection for pedestrians
  • Seatbelts for all seats
  • Better restraint systems to keep passengers safe in a crash

Because of these updates, the Magnite became much safer and was tested again.

🧪 How the Testing Works

Global NCAP checks how safe a car is by doing:

  • Frontal crash test
  • Side crash test
  • Checking if the car has ESC
  • Testing for pedestrian safety
  • Side pole test (for top scores)

The new version of Magnite passed all these tests and scored 5 stars for adults and 3 stars for child safety.

📈 Step-by-Step Progress

  1. The older Magnite had only 2 airbags and scored 2 stars.
  2. Nissan added more safety features and sent the car for testing again — it got 4 stars.
  3. After more improvements, the car was tested a third time — and got the top score of 5 stars.

This shows how much better a car can become when the company focuses on safety.

🇮🇳 A Proud Moment for India

This new and safer Magnite is made in India and also sold in countries like South Africa. It’s the first car in South Africa to get 5 stars under the new safety rules.

✅ Final Words

The Nissan Magnite has now become one of the safest cars in its segment. It proves that even an affordable SUV can offer top safety.
